Martin Redfern
Martin Redfern MEd, MA is an HCPC registered Dramatherapist, a BADth register Clinical Supervisor, a Certified IFS Therapist and an Approved IFS Consultant.
He currently works part-time for the NHS as a Psychological Therapist / Dramatherapist with adults who have severe/complex mental health needs at The Briars in Exeter.
Prior to this he was working for the NHS with the Older Adult Psychology and Psychological Therapies Service.
He had previously worked for 5 years as a Senior Mental Health Practitioner for Devon & Torbay NHS CAMHS, finishing there in July 2021.
Alongside his NHS posts, he has a small private practice offering therapy and supervision mainly using creative approaches and Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapy
He has more than 20 years’ experience as a teacher; initially school-based secondary teaching, later specialist teaching/tutoring of children who were out of school.
For 4 years he was Chair of Dramatherapy Southwest.
Martin currently lives and works in East Devon.

MA in Dramatherapy - Distinction (Worcester University)
MEd in Psychology of Education (University of Bristol)
Diploma in Creative Approaches to Supervision (The London Centre for Psychodrama)
Graduate in Developmental Transformations (Institute of Developmental Transformations)
Levels 3 in Internal Family Systems (The Centre for Self Leadership - now known as 'IFS Institute')
